JAMES BOND ‘SKYFALL’

World Premiere Afterparty at Tate Modern

Background

Skyfall was the eagerly anticipated 23rd James Bond film, the release of which coincided with the 50th anniversary of the series which began with Dr No in 1962.

The Process

Working with Amanda Davis from AD Events, Diagon produced a multitude of faceted mirrored curved bars, gold-leafed oversized lanternesque back bars, a maze of intricate Chinese fretwork walls and walkways, and a huge gold 3dimensional iconic 007 sign for the Shanghai themed premiere party in the Turbine Hall of London’s Tate Modern.

Installation

All components were built in our workshop and as the Tate Modern remained open to the public during the day of the event, everything was installed into the space within a tight 2 hour window. Following the party close at 2am, everything was removed and the gallery was restored for public reopen that morning. Over 1000 VIP invited guests attended the event.

Turning a bright idea into something truly exceptional.
