Diagon were contracted by Pulse Group to build a touring exhibition stand for Emirates. The futuristic triple deck stand was showcased at ITB Berlin, its unique design provided visitors with an opportunity to experience some of Emirates’ iconic on-board facilities, including the new Boeing 777 Business Class seat.
At a height of 8.5m, the 166-tonne stand was transported to Berlin in 26 x 40ft shipping containers and took 9 days to assemble. With a footprint of 528sqm, the stand consists of 11,481 individual pieces and components. Over 30,000 nuts, bolts and screws held the stand together which included over 100km of cabling. The outer skin incorporates over 1.2km of strip LED lighting.
State of the art technology included a bespoke interactive meeting system and floor to ceiling curved LED panelling. The A380 on-board Shower Spa unit featured a working shower and underfloor heating. On the 1st & 2nd floors the stand featured seven meeting rooms, one Majlis lounge, two executive offices, two serveries and two fully functioning kitchens.
Following the event, the stand was dismantled in four days, re-packed and shipped to Dubai where it was re-assembled for Arabian Travel Market show. The stand is anticipated to travel 28,000 kilometres each year, representing Emirates at several high-profile events worldwide.
